[#learning from #mums] In the UAE it feels like every other week for a while is Mother’s Day. It happens every year. I start to hear the marketing adverts. A week later another. And a few weeks later yet another! (If I was a florist I imagine this would be great for business).
In the end I just started continuously celebrating my mum and honorary mums. But I’ve never written an appreciation post before.
So since it’s another Mother’s Day, here are some things I always find you can’t help but do more of when my mum, Margi, is about:
✨Offer hugs
✨Be kind
✨Learn to play scrabble
✨Consequently, use unusual and unexpectedly big new words in regular sentences
✨Smile (pun jokes ahoy) 😁
In honour of the great mums - who are typically one of our first #teachers - thank you Margi Kulsoom Orchard, for being a great one - and a great honorary grandma to all the children at the schools you work with. 💙💐🙋🏻♀️
